APRIL 2024

News.PascoSheriff.com

Pasco Sheriff’s Office is fortunate to serve a supportive and united community. When Pasco County is in need of help, our citizens don’t hesitate to lend a hand. We see this each day in PSO’s volunteers. April is National Volunteer Month and it’s an opportunity to thank the selfless women and men who donate their time to help PSO and our community.

We’re grateful to have so many volunteers within our agency, assisting over a dozen different PSO units. The time and talents provided by PSO volunteers makes a big difference, not only to our operations, but also to those we serve.

PSO is always looking for more volunteers to help us in our mission, protecting Pasco County citizens. We welcome you to apply!

Pasco Sheriff’s Office is proud to announce that our Juvenile Choice Program is now open to anyone ages 11-17. This program is geared toward mentoring youth by highlighting the real consequences of bad decisions, and encouraging kids to make strides toward a positive future. Juvenile Choice was previously only offered to children engaged in the Juvenile Arbitration or Pasco Sheriff’s Office Diversion programs. However, the knowledge and concepts the program highlights can benefit everyone! Therefore, Juvenile Choice has expanded to include additional classes for those who are not required to take the course, and want to learn about the important concepts and values this program instills. Read more about Juvenile Choice here.

Tomorrow’s future leaders are learning how to protect their community with the help of the Pasco Sheriff’s Office! Boy Scouts of America and Girl Scouts of USA recently invited PSO members to speak about emergency preparedness and other safety tips with the Scouts. Taking time to educate Pasco County’s youngest members is an important part of our mission. The safe habits they learn today will be carried into the future and help create a safer community for everyone. Guardians gave PSO permission to use these photos.
