Pasco Sheriff’s Office deputies are working hard to ensure everyone’s safety, but we can always use your help, especially when it comes to boating safety. Be sure to pack your patience at the boat ramps this summer, and tell a trusted friend or neighbor where you’ll be heading on boats. This helps first responders in the event of an emergency. Lastly, don’t forget to ensure that your boat has all necessary safety equipment and that it is in good working condition, especially before your first boat trip of the year. Stay safe, and have a wonderful summer on Pasco’s waterways!
While the warm weather tempts citizens to take a swim this summer, it’s imperative to do so safely. Drownings can occur within seconds, especially when it comes to children. Pasco Sheriff’s Office is sharing safety tips to stay safe when enjoying water activities, such as going out on a boat or visiting the pool.

If you live in a storm surge or hurricane evacuation zone, make evacuation plans now for a safe location, and plan how you will get there in the event of a storm. Don’t forget to discuss this plan with those in your household, as well as family members that live out of the area.
