Pasco Sheriff Chris Nocco urges parents and guardians to speak with students about the consequences of making threats, even when they’re made as a joke, and to report anything suspicious to a trusted adult. PSO takes all threats seriously, and will continue to investigate them thoroughly. If you see a social media post that appears to be a threat, don’t share them online. Report threats to the Pasco County Non-Emergency Line at 727-847-8102, option 7, or report tips online at PascoSheriff.com/tips.
Speak with students about the impact their actions have on social media. A threat made on social media is still a real threat, which can result in criminal consequences. Think before you post.

Additionally, PSO travels upstream with crime prevention to best serve our citizens. To respond to calls for service, PSO specialty units help keep the community safe with diverse training, skills and tools. Read more.

Sheriff Chris Nocco was honored to speak at town hall events recently at Tampa Bay Golf & Country Club and Beacon Woods. During the event, attendees learned about PSO operations and asked questions. These events provide a great opportunity for our deputies to meet those they serve and find solutions for community concerns. It is our pleasure to work with our community to make Pasco County a safe and thriving place to live.
