January is National Human Trafficking Prevention Month. Your Pasco Sheriff’s Office partners with the Pasco County Commission on Human Trafficking to prevent the scourge of human trafficking and get survivors the services they need. In line with with our motto of “We Fight as One,” you can help by learning the signs of human trafficking and knowing how to report it.

Knowing the signs of human trafficking can help get victims out of these situations and into help sooner. Everyone can play a vital role by recognizing common warning signs and reporting potential human trafficking activity. If you suspect human trafficking, report it to the National Human Trafficking Hotline or local law enforcement immediately. Together, we can increase identification of warning signs to help reduce human trafficking and get services to survivors quicker. PSO MAC Team Recertified. Pasco Sheriff’s Office is happy to announce that our Missing and Abducted Child (or MAC) Team was once again recertified by the U.S. Department of Justice! The certification means that PSO’s MAC Team is adhering to the highest standards of responding to endangered or abducted children cases. Read more here.

Free Food Distribution

Pasco Sheriff’s Office is teaming up with Farm Share, Refuge Church, the Gentlemen’s Course and the Pasco County NAACP for a free community food distribution! The next food distribution event will be Refuge Church on Thursday, January 12 and will begin at 9 a.m. It’s first come first served, so come out early! We’re thrilled to connect our community to this resource. See you there!

Explorer Post 916 Drones/Forensics Program Informational Meeting

PSO’s Explorer Post 916 is proud to offer an innovative new program introducing those ages 14-21 to the exciting world of drones and forensics. An introductory meeting will be held on Wed., Feb. 15 at 6 p.m. at Safety Town, located at 15362 Alric Pottberg Rd., Shady Hills. More details here.
