Update: Pasco Sheriff’s Office deputies assisted Wesley Chapel High School with a controlled dismissal as a precautionary measure. After a thorough search of the campus, deputies located a toy gun in a bathroom. Deputies continue to search for the individual that discarded the toy gun. There is no threat to Wesley Chapel High School, and normal operations have resumed.

Wesley Chapel High School is currently on controlled campus status out of an abundance of caution after receiving a report that there may be a weapon on campus. Pasco Sheriff’s Office deputies are actively canvassing the campus at this time.

Wesley Chapel High School’s dismissal is temporarily being held as a precautionary measure while the investigation continues. An update will be provided when available.
