School Alert: Thomas E. Weightman Middle School

Weightman Middle School was briefly under a controlled campus status out of an abundance of caution while deputies investigated a tip about a student holding a possible gun on a social media post. The gun appears to be a pellet gun and no threat was made toward the school. The student was identified and there is no weapon on campus. The investigation is ongoing.
