School Alert: Sunlake High School and Rushe Middle School

Update: There is no threat to the school and both schools will return to normal operations shortly.

Original Alert: Sunlake High School is currently on controlled campus out of an abundance of caution after a report of a person with a firearm on campus. The person was quickly located, thoroughly searched and no firearm was found. Out of an abundance of caution, a thorough search of Sunlake High School is being conducted. Due to its proximity, Rushe Middle School is also on controlled campus. An update will be provided when available and there is an increased law enforcement presence at the schools while the search is conducted.
