School Alert: Kirkland Ranch Academy of Innovation

Update: Pasco Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a 16-year-old student from Kirkland Ranch Academy of Innovation for Possession of a Weapon on School Grounds in connection with this incident.

We appreciate the quick action of the person who reported this and encourage all students to report any suspicious activity. “If you see something, say something” is an effort to keep all students safe.

Update: The student in connection with this incident has been located. The student was in possession of a BB gun. There is no threat to Kirkland Ranch Academy of Innovation, and normal operations have been resumed.

Kirkland Ranch Academy of Innovation is currently on controlled campus status out of an abundance of caution after receiving a report that there may be a weapon on campus. Pasco Sheriff’s Office deputies are actively canvassing the campus at this time. An update will be provided when available.
