Update: The student was arrested for two counts of aggravated battery, possession of weapon on school grounds, discharge of weapon on school grounds, and disorderly conduct.

Hudson Academy was briefly on controlled campus status out of an abundance of caution while deputies searched for a student carrying pepper spray. The student fled from Hudson High School after using the pepper spray on a group of people. Those exposed are receiving medical attention. Deputies are with the student who deployed the pepper spray. There is no threat to the schools, and they have resumed normal operations.
