PSO Now a Missing Kids Readiness Program Member

NCMEC MKRP

Pasco Sheriff’s Office is proud to announce that we are the newest members of the Missing Kids Readiness Program, developed by the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC). This program promotes best practices when responding to calls of missing, abducted or sexually-exploited children. To meet the requirements of the Program, the Pasco Sheriff’s Office worked with NCMEC on our missing child policy to ensure it met the critical elements of NCMEC’s model policy for law enforcement agencies. With this information, knowledge and operational resources gained through meeting the program criteria, the Pasco Sheriff’s Office is positioned to respond more quickly, comprehensively, and effectively when a child’s life may be at stake. PSO is proud of this additional certification, in addition to PSO’s certified Missing and Abducted Child team, as it is another resource and level of knowledge PSO has to keep our community safe and quickly recover missing children in their most desperate time of need.
