Community Alert: Unlicensed Contractor Operation

Pasco Sheriff’s Office’s Economic Crimes Unit conducted an unlicensed contractor operation between Dec. 8-11, in the West Pasco County area, resulting in 17 arrests of individuals performing work without the necessary licenses. These subjects offered to complete contracting services to include, but not limited to, electrical, roofing, plumbing and air conditioning installation. During the investigation, it was determined these individuals did not have the proper licensing to complete any jobs that they quoted during this operation. Contractor fraud renders victims liable for damages and reduces resources in a contract breach. PSO urges citizens to review the tips below regarding unlicensed contractor scams to reduce their chances of victimization.

PSO shares our appreciation with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation for assisting in this important operation to ensure the safety of our citizens. Below is a list of individuals and businesses found operating without proper licensing.
