Community Alert: Shooting, New Port Richey

UPDATE, 10:45 p.m.: After continued investigation, Pasco Sheriff’s deputies have an individual in custody after the investigation revealed the shooting resulted from an argument that escalated amongst known parties. There is no public safety threat.

Original Post: Pasco Sheriff’s deputies responded to a shooting in the 10400 block of Helena St. in New Port Richey. Preliminary information indicates an adult male was shot immediately after hearing gun fire near his residence and is deceased. At this time, it is unknown where the shooting originated and the investigation remains active and ongoing.
