Update Aug. 23: Pasco Sheriff’s Office arrested Tyler Lesher, 18, for homicide and delinquent in possession of a firearm as a result of this incident. Lesher was previously arrested for a battery on a law enforcement officer, a felony, in Oct. 2022, which resulted in the additional charge of delinquent in possession of a firearm.

Update Aug. 21: Pasco Sheriff’s detectives continue to investigate a shooting which occurred on Aug. 18 in the Laredo Dr. area of Bayonet Point. Preliminary information indicates that around 9:15 p.m., an adult man was shot following an argument with another adult man. The man that was shot has died. Witnesses only heard a single shot during the incident. PSO would like to speak with anyone that was present during the incident on Aug. 18, 2023. Again, this is an isolated occurrence amongst known parties and there is no threat to the public.

Original Alert Aug. 18 at 11:56 p.m.: Pasco Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a shooting which occurred around 9:15 p.m. on Aug. 18 in the Laredo Dr. area of Bayonet Point. Preliminary information indicates an adult male was shot following an argument with another adult man. The man that was shot has died. This is an isolated incident amongst known parties and there is no threat to the public. The investigation is ongoing.
