Community Alert: Deputy Involved Shooting, Land O’Lakes
Pasco Sheriff’s Office is investigating a deputy involved shooting that occurred around 11:30 p.m. in the Causeway Blvd. area of Land O’Lakes and resulted in the death of Enoch Harville (61).
Around 11:10 p.m., deputies responded to a domestic incident, involving a firearm. Deputies made contact with the victim of the domestic violence incident while also attempting to communicate with Harville.
At that time, Harville, who was in a back room, armed himself with a firearm. Deputies exited the back room while ordering him to drop his weapon. Harville ignored commands and approached the deputies with his gun. The two deputies on scene fired their weapons, and Harville was struck. No deputies or other civilians were injured. Harville was pronounced deceased on scene.
Due to the incident being inside a residence, body camera footage is not releasable pursuant to Florida State Statute 119.071.
As per PSO’s standard protocol, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement will investigate the deputy-involved shooting. There is no public safety threat. The deputies who fired the rounds have been placed on paid administrative leave pursuant to policy. The investigation remains ongoing, and no additional information is available at this time.
