Community Alert: Deputy Involved Shooting, Hudson

Pasco Sheriff’s Office deputies are investigating a deputy-involved shooting that occurred in the Little Rd. area of Hudson that resulted in the death of an adult man.
On October 2, around noon, PSO deputies received reports of an agitated subject outside of a business. Upon arrival, the business asked law enforcement to trespass the subject from the property. Deputies approached the subject, where he was observed carrying a knife in-hand. Deputies attempted verbal contact, and after several failed attempts at verbal deescalation, the subject confronted deputies with the knife in-hand, and deputies shot the subject. The subject was pronounced deceased at the scene. There is no public safety threat. The investigation remains ongoing, and no additional information is available at this time.
As per PSO’s standard protocol, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement will investigate the deputy-involved shooting. There is no public safety threat.
