Community Alert: Death Investigation, Dade City

Pasco Sheriff’s Office deputies are on scene of a death investigation of an adult man in the Prospect Rd. and SR 52 area of Dade City, which occurred following a vehicle pursuit. Deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a subject who was known to have several violent felony warrants. The subject did not stop and a pursuit began. Eventually the subject stopped his vehicle and immediately shot himself, resulting in his death. This is an isolated incident and there is no public safety threat. There is currently road closures in the Prospect Rd. and SR 52 area of Dade City. The investigation remains ongoing and no further information is available.
