*Update (10/27): The boil water notice was rescinded and water is now safe for consumption.*

BOIL WATER NOTICE: A precautionary boil water notice is in effect for Gulf Harbors Phase II and Sea Forest Subdivisions in New Port Richey, which affects about 350 homes.

The water distribution system in this area lost pressure today when a water line ruptured. Pasco County Utilities is currently working to restore water service.

All water used for drinking or cooking should be boiled for at least one minute as a precaution. Ice makers should be turned off and any ice made within the past 12 hours should be discarded.
